BYOC Receives ‘Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products’ Award for Fifth Time
For their ongoing efforts in assisting districts succeed, School Software Group’s BuildYourOwnCurriculum (BYOC) has earned a spot on the annual ‘Readers’ Choice Top 100 Products’ list from District Administration magazine. In the past six years, this will be School Software Group’s fifth appearance on the list.
Each year, the nation’s top K-12 leaders are encouraged to submit nominations about their favorite products to District Administration magazine. Once they receive the nominations, the publication’s editorial board narrows down the products based on quality and quantity, and creates a list featuring the top 100. This annual award program informs superintendents—and other senior school leaders—about the best products their colleagues across the country use to achieve district excellence.
BuildYourOwnCurriculum uses technology to bring the teaching—and learning—experience into an evolving documented process that is easy to use, accessible anywhere, and aligned district-wide. With BYOC, there’s no need for teachers to recreate curriculum from scratch each year. By simply entering curriculum once, then continuously assessing and improving, educators can save time on curriculum management, enter a process of continuous improvement, and shift focus to their true passion—teaching. It also provides access for parents and students to view assignments, participate in discussion groups, and view announcements and events.
“To have won the award five of the last six years is beyond belief,” says Chris Trina, co-founder of School Software Group. “This award has always been special to us—it shows the positive impact we’ve had on our clients and their districts. There is no greater affirmation of what we do for our clients who consistently support us,” says Trina.
